Selection criteria: Determine based on the formula D = K × dmax, where K ranges from 10 to 24, according to the maximum feed particle size (dmax).

- Roll width (B): Typically ranges from 400 mm to 1,200 mm. Function: Determines the processing capacity and edge effects.

Selection criteria: Based on the formula B = Kb. Selection criteria: Determined by the formula B = KB × D, where KB ranges from 0.2 to 1.2.

2. Roll Surface Hardness

Hardness range: HRC55–62. Material: High-chromium alloy or 9Cr2Mo material, enhancing wear resistance.

3. Line Pressure

Range: 80–120 MPa. Function: Influences the material's crushing efficiency and energy consumption.

4. Rotational Speed

Range: 1–1.75 m/s. Function: Balances production and roll surface wear.

5. Maximum Feed Particle Size

Scope: Generally no more than 5% of the roll diameter. Function: Ensures effective crushing of the material bed.
