
The multi-rope friction hoist series products are designed and manufactured in accordance with the enterprise standard Q/HBWF006 "Multi-rope Friction Hoist", AQ1036-2007 "Safety Inspection Specification for Multi-rope Friction Hoists Used in Coal Mines", GB/T10599—2010 "Multi-rope Friction Hoist" standard, and the "Coal Mine Safety Regulations".
Product Purpose and Scope of Application
Multi-rope friction mine hoists are divided into shaft tower type and floor-mounted type according to installation form. They are mainly used in coal mines, metal mines, and non-metal mines for vertical shafts to lift materials, personnel, and equipment.
Since the electrical equipment matched with this product is non-explosion-proof type, it cannot be used in places with flammable and explosive media such as gas and coal dust.
Working Principle
The multi-rope friction hoist adopts the principle of flexible body friction transmission. Steel wire ropes are placed on the friction wheel, and the friction between the steel wire ropes and the friction lining is used to lift or lower heavy objects or personnel.

Multi-rope Friction Hoist Main Shaft Device
The main shaft device is the working mechanism of the hoist, bearing all the torque for lifting and lowering loads, and withstanding the tension of the steel wire ropes on both sides of the friction wheel. It consists of the main shaft, friction wheel, rolling bearings, bearing seat, bearing cover, bearing beam, friction lining, fixed block, and pressure block.
The main shaft is one of the main parts of the main shaft device. It bears the weight of the entire main shaft device, external loads, and transmits all torque. It is forged from low alloy steel. One or two flange discs are directly forged on the shaft and connected to the friction wheel by high-strength bolts.
The friction wheel is made of integral low alloy steel with a fully welded structure, composed of the shell, left and right spokes, left and right hubs, support ring, and rope retaining plate welded together. For large hoists (diameter greater than or equal to 2.8m), support rings are welded inside the shell to enhance the rigidity of the entire shell. According to customer requirements, a non-detachable welded brake disc (also called a deadlock disc) can be used, where the brake disc is welded to the drum end, or a detachable combined brake disc can be used, where the brake disc is made in two halves and mounted on the friction wheel, connected by high-strength bolts. Brake discs are divided into single-disc and double-disc types.
The main bearing consists of roller bearings, bearing covers, bearing seats, and bearing end covers. The rolling bearings use well-known domestic brands such as Harbin Bearing, Wafangdian Bearing, and Luoyang Bearing double-row self-aligning spherical roller bearings, which have good self-aligning performance, can bear large radial loads and impact resistance, have long service life, high efficiency, and are easy to maintain.
The friction lining is a key component. The friction lining is fixed on the friction wheel by fixed blocks and pressure blocks through bolts. Wanfeng Company uses high-friction linings with a friction coefficient ≥0.25 to ensure the hoist's performance parameters, lifting capacity, and safety reliability. The floor-mounted hoist has two rope grooves on the lining, and the rope switching device allows the steel wire rope to switch between the two grooves, which can double the lining's service life and improve the utilization rate of the lining material.
