The roller of the roller press is the core component of the roller press, which crushes or forms materials through high-pressure extrusion. It is widely used in industries such as mining, chemical, and cement to improve grinding efficiency and reduce energy consumption. According to its use, it is divided into: ordinary roller press mainly used for material crushing and pre-grinding; precision roller press mainly used for high-precision material pressing and forming. According to the transmission method, it is divided into single drive with one motor drive, simple structure, and lower cost, and double drive with two motor drives, more balanced power, suitable for large equipment.

1. Roller diameter: usually from 800mm to 1800mm.

2. Roller width: generally from 150mm to 1200mm.

3. Power: ranges from 55kW to 500kW.

Design Parameters

1. Roller Diameter and Roller Width

- Roller Diameter (D): usually from 1000mm to 1800mm. Function: affects material bite and compaction effect.

Selection basis: determined according to the maximum feed particle size (dmax) by the formula D = K × dmax, where k is 10-24.

- Roller Width (B): generally from 400mm to 1200mm. Function: determines processing capacity and edge effects.

Selection basis: determined by the formula B = KB × D, where KB is 0.2-1.2.

2. Roller Surface Hardness

Hardness range: HRC55-62. Material: high chrome alloy or 9Cr2Mo material to improve wear resistance.

3. Line Pressure

Range: 80-120MPa. Function: affects material crushing efficiency and energy consumption.

4. Rotational Speed

Range: 1-1.75m/s. Function: balances output and roller surface wear.

5. Maximum Feed Particle Size

Range: generally not exceeding 5% of the roller diameter. Function: ensures the crushing effect of the material bed.
