
Product Introduction
The metal magnesium rotary kiln is a specialized rotary kiln developed according to the calcination characteristics of dolomite and the process requirements of the Pijiang method for magnesium refining. It is a key piece of equipment in the dolomite calcination system. The calcined dolomite produced by the rotary kiln features stable and uniform quality, high activity, and low loss on ignition, fully meeting the process requirements of the Pijiang method for magnesium refining. This results in a higher extraction rate of magnesium and better utilization of silicon, reducing the production cost of metal magnesium. It is an ideal equipment for calcining dolomite in the magnesium industry.

Outstanding Advantages
1. The rotary kiln consists of the cylinder, support device, transmission device, kiln tail, and kiln head sealing, etc.
2. The length-to-diameter ratio is reduced; shortening the length not only decreases heat loss from the rotary kiln surface to the surroundings but also reduces the equipment footprint.
3. The cooler and kiln head cover adopt an integrated vertical design, occupying a small area; good sealing prevents unorganized discharge of hot waste gas.
4. A vertical preheater is installed at the kiln tail, allowing the waste heat from the kiln tail flue gas to be directly transferred to the dolomite, effectively recovering the heat carried away by the tail gas emissions.
Working Principle
Dolomite is fed into the kiln through the kiln tail (high end) chute. Due to the inclination and slow rotation of the cylinder, the dolomite rolls circumferentially while moving axially from the kiln tail (high end) to the kiln head (low end). Fuel is injected into the kiln from the kiln head end through burners for combustion. Heat is transferred to the dolomite by radiation, convection, conduction, and other methods. Inside the kiln, the dolomite undergoes preheating, decomposition, and firing processes, being calcined into calcined dolomite, which is then discharged from the kiln head device.
