The large gear, as the core of transmission, meshes with the small gear through the ring gear, converting the motor's high-speed rotation into low-speed, high-torque rotation for equipment (such as ball mills and rotary kilns). The product has a heavy structure, large diameter (2.0-3.6 meters), and heavy weight (up to several tons), with wear resistance and impact resistance. The segmented design facilitates transportation and installation, and stiffening ribs enhance rigidity. The surface is quenched, with a gear surface roughness Ra ≤ 1.6μm to ensure smooth transmission.

Working principle

1. Transmission process: motor → reducer → small gear (high speed, low torque) → large gear (low speed, high torque) → drive equipment (such as rotary kiln rotation).

2. Key points:

- Power is transmitted through gear meshing, relying on gear surface lubrication (special grease required).

- The large gear is fixed on the equipment shell (such as rotary kiln) and rotates synchronously with the equipment.

- Segmented design reduces stress concentration and improves operational stability.

Large gear

The large gear is a key transmission component in heavy rotary equipment, typically meshing with a small gear to achieve low-speed, high-torque transmission. The product is made of cast steel (such as ZG35Ⅱ) or cast iron (such as HT250), subjected to quenching/normalizing treatment, with a high surface hardness (HRC40-45) and good wear resistance. The structure is segmented (such as the two-segment joint shown in the picture), with involute teeth on the inner side, mounting holes and reinforcing ribs on the outer side, suitable for heavy industrial equipment in mining, building materials, metallurgy, and other fields.
